Dating Poems. Feeling down on love? Here's three dating poems to perk up your dating poetry. Keep believing that you deserve a wonderful person who's a good match for you. Naturally, it can feel daunting at times after many unsuccessful dates or when there's hardly any love prospect in sight. May these dating love poems strike a chord with you. Hopefully, you'll take away with you something meaningful and encouraging from these words!
I love poetry, and I always want to share that love of poetry with students. Last year, I decided to add a new element to my poetry unit, Poetry Speed-dating. This simple activity allows students to explore some poetry in a low-stakes way. The set-up is simple. Find a variety of poetry books and anthologies for students to browse. You can collect anthologies from the library, set up stations with access to various poetry websites you like, or have students bring in books of poetry from home.
More about dating poetry:
Dating is a part of a relationship that is unique, diverting and pleasurable. It seems to progress in enthralling stages. In the beginning you feel a nervous excitement that can't be calmed. As your relationship continues, dating serves as a captivating way to find out who a person really is. Sharing experiences together allows you to see that person, and dating poetry yourself, for what you truly are. Then there's the part where you begin to expose your innermost thoughts, feelings and desires, perhaps as you never had before. Though the initial excitement and nervousness may fade, the security and love that replaces it is beautiful too.
